Serials as the factory printed them

Panels, batteries, inverters and meters all carry serial numbers, and no two manufacturers agree on a format. StockRada takes the serial as printed. A category states whether its identifier is numeric or alphanumeric, whether it is a fixed length, and whether it is required at all.

Warranty claims back to the manufacturer are made against that serial. If it is not in your records, the claim is yours to absorb.

Stock lives with the technician

A distributor's stock is rarely in the warehouse. It is assigned to whoever is going to install it, and the record needs to follow.
